About Me

I am an Assistant Professor (PI) at the Waseda Institute for Advanced Study (WIAS), Waseda University, and a concurrent Research Fellow at the School of Computing, Institute of Science Tokyo.

My research lies at the intersection of software engineering, artificial intelligence, and human-computer interaction, with a particular focus on human-centered, adaptive, and reliable software systems. I am especially interested in self-adaptive systems, software testing and verification, large language models for software engineering, and intelligent interactive systems.

Before joining WIAS, I worked as a Research Associate in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Waseda University. During my doctoral studies, I was also supported by JSPS young scienctist and JST SPRING fellowships. I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science from Waseda University under the supervision of Prof. Kenji Tei, Prof. Hironori Washizaki, and Prof. Shinichi Honiden. During my Ph.D., I was also a visiting researcher at Carnegie Mellon University, Peking University, and the University of Sao Paulo, where I worked with Prof. Eunsuk Kang, Prof. Zhi Jin, and Prof. Elisa Yumi Nakagawa.

Call for students

I welcome applications from self-motivated Master’s and Ph.D. students, as well as online research interns and on site visiting students. Although I will not host new students at Waseda University this yes, I can recommend applicants to graduate programs at the Institute of Science Tokyo and Osaka University, where I may also provide direct research supervision. If you are interested in working with me, please feel free to contact me by email.
